Greenbury Point is 231 acres of pristine wetlands on one of the last remaining pieces of undeveloped water access parcels of land in Maryland. It has trails throughout the park and unobstructed views of the Bay Bridge. It is truly one of the jewels of Maryland and used by all in the community.
The Naval Academy Golf Association or NAGA wants to build a second golf course on this beautiful, ecologically sensitive piece of land. This would be a second private golf course to accompany the existing NAGA golf course, which was recently renovated. Eighty-one percent of Marylanders oppose this development, as it would be ecologically devastating to the Chesapeake Bay and the public would lose access to this beautiful, protected property.
